1. Who we are

Aarve Solar Private Limited (“Aarve Solar”, “we”, “us”) operates this website. Our corporate office is in Bengaluru and our registered office is in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, where it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. What we collect

We collect only what you type into one of our enquiry forms:

• Your name and mobile number, which are required so that we can call you back.
• Your city or town, your approximate monthly electricity bill, and any message — all optional, and all only to help us prepare a sensible proposal.
• Which form you used and which page you were on, so we know what you were looking at when you got in touch.

3. What we do not collect

We do not ask for, and this website does not collect, your email address, your date of birth, your identity documents, your bank or card details, or your precise location.

If you later engage us for an installation, we may need documents for a subsidy or net-metering application. Those are collected separately, with your knowledge, and are not gathered through this website.

4. Why we use it

To contact you about your enquiry, to arrange and carry out a site survey, and to prepare and follow up a quotation. That is the whole of it.

We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell, rent or trade them to anybody.

5. Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies on visitors, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or social-media tracking pixels. There is nothing to accept or decline, which is why you are not shown a cookie banner.

The typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from a font provider, so viewing the site does not send a request to any third party on your behalf.

A single session cookie is used on the /admin area, and only for Aarve staff signing in to manage the site. It is never set for ordinary visitors.

6. Where your information is kept

Enquiries are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database operated by Neon, and the website itself is hosted by Vercel. Photographs and documents on the site are held in Vercel Blob storage. A copy of each enquiry is also emailed to our team so that somebody sees it promptly.

The database is hosted in the United States. This means your enquiry details are stored outside India, on servers operated by these providers under their own security and contractual obligations. If you would prefer not to have your details stored this way, please telephone us instead of using the form.

7. Who can see it

Access to enquiries is limited to Aarve Solar staff who need it to respond to you, through a password-protected admin panel.

We share your details outside the company only where it is necessary to serve your enquiry — for example an installation partner attending your site — or where we are required to by law.

8. How long we keep it

Where an enquiry becomes a project, we keep the records for as long as we need them to service the installation and its warranties, and for as long as tax and company law requires.

Where an enquiry does not lead to a project, we keep it for up to three years so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

9. Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS, the admin panel is behind a password, and access to the database is restricted.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a transmission over the internet is immune from interception. What we can say is that we hold no payment details and no identity documents on this website, so there is little of that sort to be lost.

10. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:

• Tell you what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it.
• Correct anything that is inaccurate, or complete anything that is missing.
• Delete what we hold, where we are not required to keep it.
• Nominate somebody to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapable of doing so.
• Withdraw your consent, at any time, by telling us.

11. How to ask

Write to info@aarvesolar.com with the phone number you gave us, so that we can find your enquiry. We will respond within a reasonable period.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may raise it with our Grievance Officer at the same address, marked for their attention, and thereafter with the Data Protection Board of India.

12. Children

This website is meant for people arranging a solar installation, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please tell us and we will delete them.

13. Other sites

Where we link to a manufacturer's website or a government portal, that site has its own privacy policy and we are not responsible for it. This policy covers only what happens on aarvesolar.com.

14. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data — for example by adding analytics to the site — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check it from time to time.
